I’ve been pretty busy the last few days delivering training. I’ve been involved in organizing an interstate training road show – basically travelling to our state offices and delivering a whole range of different training sessions – topics include:

* Goal Setting

* Networking

* Adapting to Change

* Improving Personal Productivity

* Stress Management

* Interaction and Communication Skills

Basically a mix of 3 or 4 sessions per day – as much as I love e-learning it’s nice to get out there and do some face to face training every now and then. My facilitation style has changed quite a bit over the years – I’ve noticed that my focus during this trip is to make my sessions as practical as i can – with so many different topics there’s no time (or desire) for loads of theory.

The best session? Networking ! I decided to update the session plan and added a whole section on networking 2.0 – LinkedIn, blogs and other our own internal social networking site – my participants hadn’t heard of these tools so it was interesting to see their reactions!

Next week I’m off to Perth then it’s Brisbane and Melbourne…then back to e-learning 🙂
